Authorities are investigating after a man and woman were found dead Wednesday in northwest Harris County.
According to the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office, the bodies were found in the16400 block of Lakewood Field Drive.
Precinct 4 deputies responded to the home shortly after 1 p.m. and found the man and woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Sgt. S. Miller said they were told the couple, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 70s, had been having marital issues.
Miller said the daughter of the two said her husband had come over earlier in the day to get a ladder from the home when he noticed the couple’s vehicles were still there. Typically, they would have been at work at the time.
The husband called the daughter, and she came over and they went inside the home where they found the man and woman.
Miller said they are still investigating, but all evidence points to this being a murder-suicide.
“We have no reason to believe this to be anything other than that,” Miller said.
